Auburn Metal Processing, LLC. (AMP) operates an auto shredder residue (ASR) processing plant in Auburn, New York to separate metals and other recyclables from waste products. AMP purchases various grades of ASR from scrap shredding plants. AMP processes this material and sells aluminum twitch, zorba, heavies and other metals to the secondary aluminum industry and other ferrous and non ferrous scrap metal consumers, both domestic and overseas. AMP is one of only a handful of companies processing metals from the ASR waste stream. AMP strives to stay ahead of the competition by continually upgrading processing equipment. AMP conducts extensive research and development to process the highest volumes of low recovery materials using the most economical methods available. AMP takes great pride in processing and recovering recyclables from material that may have otherwise been destined for a landfill with no further recovery of commodities. AMP continues to explore and develop new technology to recover not only metals but plastics and other materials that may be able to be recycled versus landfilling.
